In light of recent, increased, demand placed on the ADAMS team, there has been a delay in the development of the automated aspects of the procedure for the collection, transport and analysis of Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) blood samples, including the calculation of the Blood Stability Score (BSS) within ADAMS.
The BSS will therefore be implemented in ADAMS in early 2017, with a more precise date to be communicated in due time. Until then, ADAMS will continue to evaluate ABP blood sample validity based on the 36h + 12h rule currently in place.
Starting on 1 January 2017, ADOs wishing to extend the collection to reception time to more than 36h can do so in exceptional cases. In such cases, the ADO will be responsible for the recovery and storage of the temperature logger file and the manual calculation of the BSS.
